oh, really, why bother hoping?
lillian had two 'emergency tickets,' the result of when a movie screwed up in mid-move. the plan was i'd take her to see ttt, the third time for each of us, and go to ltd2 on the way home with mom's credit card and coupons and blah blah. lillian took the tickets OUT of her purse where they were safe 'because she was going to use them soon.' placed them--either on her desk, or her keyboard table. without telling anyone, naturally, and then other people cleaned her room preparatory to the birthday party. the result is two lost tickets. having spent roughly half an hour getting dressed and finally settling on a white short-sleeved wool turtleneck which is fine and doesn't itch too badly, a braided belt of my grandmother's and my long purple witch skirt, i was mostly unconcerned and ready to just go to the mall.
until it became apparent that mom couldn't find the ltd2 credit card. okay, so she will use another one (and yes, we HAVE to go, lillian MUST have an outfit for christmas tomorrow). so we have to wait for her. she's baking, and watching a movie from the 1960s about rock hudson as a phoney fishing expert. a romance, of course. and though it's rock hudson, it is also, of course, a HET romance.
i'll kill some time online, i decide.
everyone else is engaged with extended family festivities.
kitten_head, i don't suppose you'd like to swing by alabama and pick me up?
(i thought not.)
daddy wants me to write the persephone novel, but thing hangs by a thread, with four climactic scenes to go, and i can't break stride there by writing the other novel, which is at an entirely different delicate juncture. so i'm frozen here. update recs page? done, for this morning--with three stories only, because no one's writing good things in genres and pairings i'll read, apparently.
and of course no one is online. (bearing in mind that we all know by 'no one' i mean 'not wax.')
can i put my pajamas back on and go back to bed?
