19 Jan 2003 08:15 pmwax got drunk on about three thimbles' worth of mouthwash alcohol with, uh, herbs. really. it may smell like ethanol and taste like mouthwash, but it's herbs. it's a liquer! is wax drunk terribly entertaining? she's a little slurred, not notably clumsier than usual. perhaps more one-trackish. less interested in sex. more whimsical. long distance it was cute. now i'm finding it boring to the point of irritation, but that could just be two straight days of not getting to read things. i had a william gibson book, but when i started to read it the first several sentences were unpromisingly annoying. which leaves a historicalish urban fantasy or one of those uncomfortably chummy peter david star trek novels, and i need two books on the plane. maybe i'll look up the text of mansfield park online. i know it's somewhere, hopefully not in pdf format.

ah, addendum.
-three thimbles!
-i'm not LESS interested in sex. i'm just having my period.
(which is true, and she's not THAT different.) and i'm oddly enough in an artistic mood. does that happen when i've gone too long without being able to write? and after a day of nothing but watching tv i can think of nothing i'd less like than talking about movies, and i have no colored pencils and paper.

Date: 19 Jan 2003 11:22 am (UTC)I don't think anyone can help what kind of drunk they are. At least she's not an agressive or weepy drunk? It must wear off, one of the advantages of alcohol, so there's a bit of a bright spot. Water and some food might help but not enough to be immediate.
