the other day mom and lillian, watching ferris bueller's day off, argued for (i swear!) five minutes whether 'that' was 'the guy from inspector gadget' without anyone using any adjectives other than that or doing anything more than point in the general vicinity of the tv. at least mom should know his name, but of course she doesn't.

a mood should be 'smug.'
