MEMO TO GREEK PROFESSOR.

i am not crazy, i am perspicacious. there's a huge difference, here. and i have read WAY too much about phonology lately, and there is a phonological rule at work with the weird irregular adjectives. and it's exactly what i said it was.

Nothing like phonology to teach you there's no such thing as "irregular". Yeah, there generally is a rule in operation, and I don't doubt you're right. But when was the last time your Greek prof took phonology? If he doesn't know about it, it obviously can't be relevant to the subject. :P And you know, god forbid that a mere student should ever be right.

You're not supposed to discuss or learn, dear; you're just supposed to sit at the noble feet of the instructor and absorb his wisdom. (Just be glad all professors aren't like that, just enough to make you truly appreciate the good ones.)
