yesterday the ex was talking to a girl who claims to be fluent in japanese and pasted bits of the conversation for my amusement. she said 'wakari nai' and 'kawaii nai' in quick succession, then explained in superior fashion that 'nai' was a negative. when he asked her about 'zya' she insisted that he had made it up.
