speaking of profaning children's literature

someone in dl_anon, no doubt inspired by my username, said something about writing enchanted forest chronicles fanfiction and i went--OH.

what do i want to read? (right this instant, i might add, more than just about anything else?) naughty morwen/telemain. sure, it's in the books, like three paragraphs of it. i want to see telemain blushing and stammering when he gets stripped! where are a princess's minions when she really needs some? ::sigh::

Was I the only kid who completely didn't get the joke in Dealing With Dragons about Alianora and the Stone Prince's honeymoon, how she kinda wanted him to stay in partial-boulder form? 'Cause I seriously didn't catch onto that until, like, LAST YEAR.

Somehow I missed whatever books you're talking about, but for me "Enchanted Forest" was this crappy amusement park my parental units used to take me and my siblings to when we were little (ages ago). So your post brought back memories of shaky, rusty ferris wheels and gravity spinners and puke'o'whirls. Still, it'd make a lovely setting for any slash story, methinks. Hmmm, perhaps a LotR RPS fic? Elijah eats too much cotton candy and Billy wants to ride the "Octopus"?

oh, no. i mean, they're both quite sincerely attached to others. and alianora and cimorene aren't exactly well-matched for anything other than friendship anyway.
