well, i have studied in a half-hearted manner. i also ripped a page almost entirely out of the textbook while trying to turn it. i may be too tired for any more studying, but i don't think i quite have it memorized.
might have to skip japanese tomorrow to study for it. *groan*
i had something witty to say. [insert witty something here.] i feel like writing haiku. wtf is up with that? i NEVER feel like writing haiku. and i'm not going to give in, either, hahaha. i'm going to go to bed early and get up early and study. hmph.

Date: 4 Apr 2002 08:55 pm (UTC)that's one of my favorite songs off that album. my old girlfriend turned me on to shakira, more than a year ago, long before her English-language album. now everybody know who she is, but nobody knows anything about her. I've read reviews where the reviewers are surprised she writes her own songs, because they've pegged her as a brainless bubblegum queen. I feel protective of her, because I liked her music before I knew what she looked like. for some people it's just all about the booty. shakira is all over magazines, and people talk about how much they love her. sometimes I want to yell at them that I loved shakira before they did, and I know people who loved her long before I did. there are people who don't understand that she came from somewhere, that in the states she's just another new singer but in colombia she's a huge star. as if my love is purer than theirs, or truer.
that was my shakira rant. thank you very much, and gracias.
