dream into action by pumpkin is one of those fascinating stories that's based on a really intriguing idea, is reaching, reaching to be something truly amazing and outstanding, and doesn't quite make it. but you can see the reflection of that great story in the wavy glass of this rather modest and unassuming good one: a story about the heartbreaking differences between dreams and reality, a story that would be serious and bittersweet and magical, that would leave you not positive how much of it had been a dream after all.

(the concept is that obi-wan's favorite first-time-sex fantasy seems to be coming true. unfortunately the fantasy involves a life-threatening situation; happily it ends with rescue. obi-wan recognizes the setting, and determines that playing the fantasy out might lead to the happy ending. )
