this qui/obi story mira was complaining about reminds me of fiction lyn*--STRONGLY. more literate in the mechanics, but deep down, just as unintelligent: random silliness and things that make no sense, over-explanation of the simplest things, slight missteps in phrasing, and over-complicated phrases the author trips over as she says one thing and then contradicts it immediately.
