this podunk little university is so... STUPID. i hate the general. i like the specific. they only offer one linguistics course beyond the introduction, and it's a 'studies in' 300-level. they offer only surveys of world literature and literary criticism, nothing focused on one area or anything; and they only have ONE lit crit class, if you don't count the advanced writing-seminars, for what is supposedly a fairly reputable english department. stupid STUPID. and they offer only six languages (apart from 'distance-learning') at a university with over 35,000 students. morons.
