still left emotionally unsatisfied by f/s plotline.

still came closest to crying when pippin finds merry on pelennor fields.

have fallen newly in love with pippin and faramir. wow.

love everything from the non-f/s plotline, even things that i found out of character.

i find andy serkis's face just fascinating. seeing smeagol made me stare really hard at gollum throughout.

cirith ungol was still very moving even though the cuddle's loss was felt. i mean, moving in a sweet and together way. what i read as just that jealous suspicion on frodo's part the first time i now see as somewhat ambiguous--the call of the ring trying and failing to overpower his mind, which mainly wants to spare sam from the burden....

dad is very certain, and i am less, that ttt was a better movie. i feel this one has pacing issues which are mostly tolkien's fault, not the movie's, but should have been more settled nonetheless. and we know how i feel about frodo and sam. i enjoyed ttt more. i love ttt. but this movie kept me breathless with my eyes riveted for a lot. it had a few more cheesy lines but a lot more places where even nervous laughter couldn't escape. it had many, many deeply luminous moments. it was just resplendent. it showed, much more than the other two (which also showed), true filmmaking genius in a raw talent form that i fully expect will be further refined with time. i was thinking during the pelennor fields: it's not often the world gets a filmmaker with this much talent.

p.s. saw woman in restroom in ugly synthetic sweater and evenstar pendant. very tacky. mental note: never wear pendant longer than your pinky without a costume.

i saw a woman wearing that pendant recently. she was wearing a low v-neck shirt and it dangled into her cleavage and looked quite pretty. there's hope. :)

there is always hope!

but really, cleavage always improves the appearance of whatever is nestled in it.

The scenes with Merry and Pippin parting in Edoras, and reuniting on Pelennor Fields, made me cry the most during my two viewings of RoTK. And Merry's arm around Pippin's shoulders in the Grey Havens? Yeah.

I have a love for Faramir that is deep and profound. It existed during TTT, both book and movie, and was only fortified these last two days. Though the addition of the Eowyn/Faramir romance scenes would have made it even better.

Oh, and I adore your icon. :D

Faramir caused me a great deal of pain in the movie version of TTT, until I read some interviews and saw the extended cut and then voila!, love renewed.

I am painfully in love with your RoTK icons. May I ask for your picture source, or is it top-secret?

theonering.net is the most extensive/comprehensive source i found but they're only indexed by character. however, theoden/eowyn is a promotional still from the official site with the stamp airbrushed out.
