i was pleased with how it came out overall, i mean, in that it went like the conception, but i thought it might've been a little over-the-top stylized and a little lacking in the history of what actually happened.

I loved it. I did notice that it's a bit hazy on, y'know, historical detail, but for me that was just part of the narrative voice - given the way she's thinking in the story's here-and-now and the way the speaks to everyone else, I don't think she'd be the type to remember what happened in terms of some kind of linear itinerary. I'm definitely going to concur with Katie, that was fucking great. There were a couple lines in particular... which I've lost now - I'll find them when I reread it. I'll admit to being a little dubious, but I need to learn to stop doubting. There wasn't a sentence where the character voice (right word?) slipped which is quite a feat. Awesome story.

The whole experience was definitely helped by first a Christina video coming on and then the Lady Marmalade one about 15 minutes later.

*muses* I find I miss having MTV most when I'm trying to write smut. Like now, for instance - I'm trying to work on a little femslashy thing and I could really, really use the inspiration of... I don't know, maybe Christina's "Dirrty" video or "Lady Marmalade", or that one from Tatu, or the new Britney/Madonna one I've heard so much about but not seen. Curse my lack of cable!

the funny thing is that i found some of this offensive at first, but it struck me that that's exactly what i would expect to come from pink's mind. she would use words like "cream", even though i think it sounds ridicluous. but, yeah, i agree with what's already been said above.

yeah, i know... at first it was full of stuff like (? find other word like 'cunt') and stuff, and i was like... no, she wouldn't say 'wet,' and she WOULD say 'cunt.'

i guess i made a gamble going with her voice. in the end i think it makes the story though.
