i have had the greek book open for--it's just hitting 49 minutes. i've even reviewed some old stuff, but i haven't even picked up the pencil for the exercises due tomorrow. just the thought of writing Xenophon (it changes cases in greek, god knows what it'd be) makes me tired. let alone "who was a friend of." it probably comes out to some shit like "who, being a friend of__," or... gr! why? why can't i just make a c now and be done with it. like, take the average of the quizzes and forget the final. sounds spiffalicious to me.

i have a headache. i know i forgot my away messages, but as you can see, i've been quite busy. and still am. maybe the pencil won't burn me if i touch it.

[edit: and, one hour later, 12% of said work was done. fuck. i'm going to bed in half an hour regardless, stupid a;plsdfkja greek.]

I'd like to learn Arabic but I've heard it's ugly to speak, even if it IS beautiful to write... Ah, hm, maybe German. *scratch head*

yeah, i do love japanese. i think the problem with greek is partly the WAY in which it's taught (too academic and dry, no talking, no participation, blah blah) and partly the fact that they try to teach it too fast. also, greek has a lot more shit to memorize than japanese because of all these case endings and stuff. there are like a million forms of every verb and 24 forms of every noun and... ugh. it makes even less sense than english, and it's NOT my native language. japanese is odd, because i'm aware it's not an easy language, but... it isn't hard for me like greek is. maybe that's just because the class is going slower. maybe it really is because i like it. whatever. hm. that was a lot of babble, right there.

i'd take portuguese or italian if i were you. they're really pretty. german is also supposed to be difficult
