[edit: oh, yeah, if i ever have to schedule a meeting with the new prime minister of russia, it will be in helsinki. no one, not even bartlett, evidently, can resist wax's siren song. my roommate probably thinks i'm nuts, as i kept randomly cracking up and saying, "finland!" all scandinavia is now irrepressibly funny to me.]

Not sure... I think it's that he received a letter from a 9yo kid, but the details didn't jive, and then by a very TV-ish fluke, he figured out the letter wasn't meant for Bartlet but for that older President (I forget which?) and that the letter had been written many years ago but the old dude.

OH, got it. ok. i was confused by the time-not-matching details, but that was not because he was, like, an evil assassin with poorly-faked credentials, but because the letter was written sixty years ago. right. thanks.
