i need something fairly mindless, but not so mindless as to contain grammatical errors or their ilk, to read. my attention span won't hold for serious emotional plot or serious emotions or funny rhetorical devices or slow paces, and my mood won't stand for serious issues or emotions. which leaves me where?
recs, anyone?
mercedes lackey, anne mccaffrey-level stuff is what i'm craving. regency romance type fare. or classic pros-type stuff.

You like Mercedes Lackey? Would you like to borrow Magic's pawn/promise/price and Fiona Patton's The Stone Prince? I bought them because they were gay oriented high fantasy but didn't like them at all.
