My second favorite recording is one of the bootlegs I have. Franc D'Ambrosio and Lisa Vroman, from the long run in San Fransisco.

No, but all the major highlight numbers and the entire Lair scene, you bet.

It's at home in PA with my other bootlegs, and they're all on cassette tape because it was the early to mid 90s that I was getting them. I'm not sure how I'd even begin to go about putting them onto a computer :(

Mostly it's Franc's voice...he's just spectacular. He has something in common with Crawford in that his tone quality is that almost...ethereal sort of different, you know? Only in a different way from how Crawford's is. I almost can't explain.

i LIKE crawford, but the hardcore fangirls baffle me. i mean: nice voice, but *i* wouldn't jump to the conclusion that it belonged to an angel. it's sort of spooky perhaps, which is very appropriate for a phantom, and powerful. okay, maybe i like it a lot. just not OMGHOWCOULDYOUCASTSOMEBODYELSE much.

I've seen two Phantoms I think have done as good a job as Crawford (if not better, in one case). The trouble with Crawford is, I love his voice, but I never saw him in action, just heard rumors that he moved as well on stage as he did anything else, which set the standard kind of high.

hm. i've never seen it either, so i can't speak to anything but the sound. :/

i have a recording of "close every door" by him that i just really really adore though. i always prefer minor keys.
