we got two little padded cube-footstools at ikea yesterday. they're called pällbo, and are very cheap. in fact, the bolts that came with them were the kind of thing that sneaky bastards are always using to build busses and houses on csi--so soft i kept stripping them out before i was done screwing them in--but the cubes are assembled and sturdy enough, and really cute, nonetheless.

also, we found the perfect teacups to replace wax's. they have a crackly gold and moss-green japanese glaze, and a double-wide saucer with room for a few sandwiches on one side.

only the fact that it wouldn't fit in mama's car stopped us from buying a red couch. i'm still coveting one fiercely. they were on sale!

and i was just thinking we needed a webcam stat when i opened anttila's new brochure and saw one in there for €29. fortunately i don't have that, or i'd probably buy it. bad cim!
