wax cleverly cut her own hand off with a knife covered in days-old salsa and bits of congealed semolina porridge to get out of doing the dishes.  they took me almost half an hour.  and she didn't even faint, and can still type.

why didn't i think of that first?

no, there's still juuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuust enough of it to allow her to type almost without impediment. just some throbbing.

her entire hand? generally, when I think of a hand being almost off, I think a lot of gushing blood.

well, it did almost sort of soak through a band-aid, but she hasn't had to get a new one yet.
