the new challenge at sga_flashfic is "abandon[ed, ment, with wild __]", so this morning in the shower i was happily thinking about abandoned cities and buildings and things. 

then i excitedly dashed out of the bathroom, dripping wet in my underwear.

cim:  if the ancients looked like humans ten thousand years ago all the ceilings and doorways in atlantis should be too low!
wax: ...but maybe the ancients were just tall.  they're not genetically related to humans. 
cim:  yeah, yeah, that's true. maybe all the ancients were tall--
wax: their civilisation was already more advanced than ours is now.
cim: and that explains how sheppard is all [mimes being tall and lanky by standing on tiptoes, hunching shoulders and making a weird face]!
wax: so let me get this straight--you were just in the shower, thinking, "hm..."
cim: ahah.  no, see, the flashfic challenge is abandonment so i was thinking about those zunis or whatever in the western united states who just picked up and left and the archaeologists found, like, ancient little stone toys still lying around.  and how we went to one of their cliff dwellings in colorado, but like a single-family dwelling was the size of a closet and not quite five feet high, so when you climbed around in them it was... cramped.
