♥ actually, i have eaten some chocolate, although my mama always told me to go light on dairy products when my immune system was at a low ebb. wax has eaten more than i have, though, cause my appetite for chocolate was actually decreased--can you believe? SO unfair!

omg, that is horrible. hopefully your appetite will be back up by the time you get my package! (although wax is welcome to everything that's in it as well, of course!)

fear not, though, there are dvds and other assorted fun things in there to cheer you up as well. and i've also sent you the mac/danny drawing. and to make you feel even better, you get virtual cuddles.

awww, virtual cuddles! that actually did give me a brief warmfuzzy feeling, but only because i love you and stuff, i'm sure. i mean, i think it's creepy when strangers are like *hugs!* and stuff.

but um, CHOCOLATE! and dvds. heh. i'm sorry, i'm sick and it's made my brain slow and stuffy. i'm way curious about this picture of yours, though.

i hope you like the drawing, i'm really proud of it. hopefully it will be there by tomorrow, i sent it on friday. (i have faith in the dutch and finnish postal services!)

hmmm i seem to be saying 'and stuff' a lot. my brain is fried from all the swedish-academicspeak-immersion.

so! i got the drawing today! i spent like 10 minutes trying to open the envelope. and then i was all confused--why won't the cardboard come out? oh, the cardboard's PART of the envelope!

and also wow. i can see you spent a realllllly long time on it. and yes, you can definitely recognise who they both are without being told! i mean, i was told, but it's obvious. and omfg the shading is so smooth and natural. you're way more patient about that than i am. my stuff never gets nearly that polished.

i think the thing with the shading is that i can't leave a drawing alone. once i have the basics on paper, i keep tweaking and shading and erasing and rubbing it with my fingers until i'm satisfied, which is never so instead i quit when i really get sick of it ;)

i did a picture with that much once--well, it was a lot darker--because my modus operandi was standard writing pencil on paper, a mechanical pencil to be precise, and i had a set of six hardnesses of graphite and i wanted to give it a try and see how it turned out. it took about five times as long and it's a lot more photorealistic--but i guess the method is different, building up instead of smudging--although i used a smudge stick sparingly, it was more a jig of constant pencil-switching, as i recall. and the whole side of my hand turned black with graphite each day i worked on it. :)

Ted makes me think of a) my dad and b) Blue Beetle, not necessarily in that order. (mind you, my dad's name is not actually ted. it's the name he uses when abroad, because his real name sounds silly in english)
