cimorenethere was a meeting today for students considering sociology as a major subject, including a tiny presentation about the job market in sociology which left me feeling just slightly better about it--at least unemployment among finnish sociologists is only 2%. i haven't considered any other majors, but i'm feeling slightly anticipatory about officially turning in the little form and whatnot anyway.
the stress of moving is, um, being very stressful on everyone all around. the suitcases filled with bedlinen in the livingroom have struck fear into the neurotic heart of the dog, who is looking very very sad. personally, i've had ridiculously low energy the last couple of days despite getting what should have been plenty of sleep. also i've coped with my anxiety mainly by avoiding homework--which isn't one of the approved strategies in any self-help book, i'm fairly sure.
