I think they're referring to the documented tension between the actors, not between the characters. At least I hope so.

OMG totally random tidbit: when I was looking for my costume, a few days ago, there was an official merchandise original Star Trek shirt, blue, like Spock's, and some guy wandered about with his friend and I caught the tail end of his conversation. It went like this: "Yeah, so, Mr. Sulu is gay, eh?" And then I was like, "HEE THAT WAS ON CIM'S LJ."

Yeah, okay, endeth the random here. :D

and also? omg sulu! there's a very small amount of sulu/chekov on the internet (you haven't met chekov yet--he wasn't in season one; i think he replaces yeoman rand) and most of it's bad, but i love it in theory anyway.
i am sooo still going to make a mirror universe girl costume someday. of course it's too cold to wear what is essentially a bikini in finland. but somehow, someway...!
