of our christmas tree juniper bush, which wax has named "sissi" ("because she's clearly a princess") and of my pirate medallion and a red dress i'm very fond of, but which i haven't been able to wear to a party yet.

chi and sugar?  i'm going to walk the dog.  text me if you come soon to make sure i can get back in time to unlock the door.

thank you! i wish i had a cocktail party or something to wear it to. wax's brother used to throw parties once yearly but my acquisition of the dress coincided with his acquisition of an offspring.

RED DRESS rowr.

I had a dream I was hiding from The Law in your bathroom, and The Law came round and you + wax were both very good at pretending nothing was out of the ordinary. criminal minds, clearly. :)

everyone should have a little red dress.

i think the law SHOULD come around. i would be great at pretending everything was normal, i bet. i am probably a born criminal! (criminal minds! heart!)

*heart* *curtsey*

this dress is angry at me for never wearing it out. it's like, "what about with some jeans and black leather, i could be an edgy statement, it doesn't have to be a fancy occasion..."

I am quite impressed on the matching little red ... dress? thing? in the icon. It seems quite the pair! That dress IS quite fantastic for you, too. I'm not quite sure I could wear it, myself.

would you believe i didn't think of that when i took the icon? it occurred to me yesterday.

as for fitting the dress--it's very slinky and stretchy and flexible! i think it'd look good on anybody with my approximate body type.

that said, i'm sososo grateful for a) the existence of that extremely stretchy polyester fabric and b) the existence of the occasional clothing companies that design exclusively for tall thin people with small boobs.

Perhaps I would look good in it, then. I just can't quite imagine myself in a dress like that, perhaps that's why? You're made for fancy little dresses, whereas I feel a bit self conscious in them. Why, I do not know.

But, YES, stretch polyester fabric = LOVE.

hahahah. i love fancy dresses, but i prefer to dress up in them at home, i think, than wearing them out. i have been deeply imprinted from a young age that you should wear practical clothes in public, things you can 'do stuff' in. often i plan to wear a skirt the night before, and then the next morning i stand in front of the closet and can't make myself put one on because it's too normal a day, or i think, "but i have to walk four places, i should wear a skirt on a day when i'm not doing much"--although a skirt doesn't actually hamper movement in itself (or none of my skirts), it's only shoes that will do that.

my mom used to have a rule--she let me start picking my own clothes out when i was about five, but one of her rules was that i could only wear a skirt to school one day a week and i always had to wear shorts under it.
