i don't think i've mentioned how i'm completely in love with the producers (writers. whoever) of csi for that last episode. delicious! the meta, she is so sweet!  and besides the meta there seems to be the scent of catherine/warrick in the air!  the thing is, in the long-term spoilers i read last season they talked frankly about that relationship.  they didn't sound iffy about it at all.  as i recall, they were discussing them having sex on screen.  so when warrick got married wax and i, much like catherine, were all "wtf?" of course people change their minds, but that seems like a dumb plot move.  from the beginning is suspected that whole thing might have been intended as a spur for their relationship though, and now with warrick's wife troubles it looks like that might have been right.

um, i just hope that sex on screen actually happens.  ahhh, how sweet is the resolution of seasons of ust?  it's pretty sweet.  possibly not as sweet as this week's meta, but likely to contain 100% more extremely attractive naked flesh, so still pretty sweet.

and on grey's anatomy there's this plot where christina is worried that george would be a better girlfriend for burke than she is... and that is possibly the greatest thing ever.

bailey is pretty close, though.

two days ago i baked this kind of experimental wheat-rye bread with brown sugar, and it tasted a lot like cinnamon raisin bread without the raisins--not too sweet for ordinary bread uses, though.  now it's almost gone and i have baked banana bread and um. a swirly vanilla-chocolate cake ("tiger cake" in swedish, but i've never heard that name in english) in a bread pan. i feel quite accomplished, but wonder if i should have made some ordinary bread instead of two kinds of dessert.

Is it marble cake, perhaps? It sounds like something my nana used to make.

is a marble cake made with this kind of extra-dense batter, in one of those round german cake pans with a hole in the centre?

I honestly can't remember what kind of pan she baked it in - I'm not exactly the culinary one in my family - but I do remember the batter being very thick. Chocolate folded into a vanilla batter, I think?

yep! you're supposed to have two bowls and pour them in alternately, then swirl with a spoon. but because the batter was so thick, it didn't actually make layers--it pooled in these little globs so the chocolate didn't cover the bottom of the pan, then the vanilla didn't cover all the chocolate... i'll be fascinated to see what it looks like when cut. :)
