so here is my babble and about twenty or so caps
hanamura and shinjyou are so fucking. or maybe not, but completely in love with each other in an amusing-yet-creepy-yet-oddly-sweet way. and the captain is in love with wakato in a way that's basically just amusing.
however, the twins who kinda beat inui and momo were great.
the great thing about this group shot is the range of facial expressions, from worried on oishi to vacant on eiji to laid-back and cheerful on fuji. i especially like how inui seems disbelieving. and is participating in squishing ryoma's head.
they're very touchy in this arc.
they are so sweet and adorable and full of love and earnest that it hurts.
this time when oishi is forced to his knees and eiji helps him up, he eschews the more normal hand- or arm-clasp in favour of something that is more like an actual embrace. and then he kind of lingers a little.
and then of course later he symbolically picks up both their rackets at once and lines them up together...
before giving oishi his back.
and taking up all the slack in the game to let oishi rest.
this is just here because i love fuji and taka having their little tete-a-tete, and how they both look so surprised when inui talks to kaidoh behind them. "there are other people here?"
um... kaidoh is pretty.
fuji, how could you have failed to notice the degree of inui's obsession with kaidoh? or maybe he hasn't. maybe he's just surprised because he didn't realise how much work went into the boomerang snake.
and any arc that gives me so many shots of fuji and inui asking each other what they think and having quiet, sinister and mostly-omniscient conversations is fine by me. askdjföaskjfdasöd. i think i might love this arc for them alone.
and then we have...
the series of shots that make me LONG for a futurefic where eiji gets tied up somewhere and calls fuji in a panic and begs him to pick up his and oishi's adopted son from his first day of kindergarten, and fuji agrees without mentioning that he was dressed in women's clothes and on his way to lunch with inui to finalise their plans for toppling the current japanese government. so he just brings inui along and they take the kid to soccer practise and lurk around the edges of the playground and interrogate and terrify the other parents so badly that the next day the coach of the baby soccer team calls oishi in his consulting hours at the hospital to try to kick his kid out, and relents only when he explains that fuji and inui were not the kidlet's parents, but his sister- and brother-in-law visiting from hong kong.
hey, good thing tezuka wasn't here for this ryoma-shinjyou match. well, i'm sure he'd be confident in ryoma and eventually smirking as well as scowling, but boy, would he be pissed off at first. i'm sure using tennis as a weapon to hurt someone is only okay in very special cases, and not when ryoma is the target. and he's actually trying to destroy his future career, too? hmmm, why is it (fanonically) always oishi or fuji who send tezuka updates in germany? i'd love to see inui calling him to ask what they should do and him hanging up.
his little facial abrasions are so rakishly attractive.
and look at how adorable this face is! it's the embodiment of @.<!
wow the end. ♥ momo and inui being forced to eat the wasabi and fuji being jealous and hanamura-sensei's thank you and ryoma covered in scratches and ryuzaki-sensei gloating and oishi being gracious.
proof that oishi is capable of sadism?
