you'll probably be astounded to learn that i hate stories that suck.

there ought to be a classified place to hook up people who want to beat up idiots with trolls on the net. you could give the troll the name of the horrible writer who'd unwittingly pissed you off, and the troll could start a flame war!

someone should start one of these, as a public service.

spare me the unrelenting mediocrity of slash archives, please. ::shudder::

i skipped church and slept till 1:30 (after feeding slate and walking penny and bear, natch) even though the sermon was on astronomy, from one of that cute gay couple who had dinner with us recently. am not too sorry to have missed it, even though he speaks well; i needed the sleep. i had a dream in which guinevere33 and i were at some sort of huge event with sara munro, possibly high school-related, and for some reason the organizers were passing around a japanese cd with writing in japanese on it, and i could read it. and then she helped me steal it.

the weird part was that she asked me how to say "a few" and i couldn't remember. i ended up with "it is not many," which is roundabout and in fact, i still wasn't sure that it was correct. (in the dream.) when i woke up, i remembered it immediately.

wow, i think it may have rained! i need a rain icon. maybe gene kelly. hmmm. you know, the bit from the "singin' in the rain" scene where he stops under a gutter spout, and then yanks the umbrella out of the way and stands there grinning with his mouth open while water pours down over his face and drenches him?

i LOVE that movie.

in the saga of interior design:

supposedly we're going to buy a dvd player after i get dressed. not that i want to get dressed. it's such a hassle.

and in the saga of interior decorating, i have installed a long narrow japanese paper lantern hanging from the ceiling in my room--uh, ok, my mom installed it--and it's not a swag, it's actually wired in. have also finally made the fabric sling and a matching head pillow for the x-frame chair and it's in the corner by the Cutest Lamp in the Known Universe (tm). the room's practically done except for a paint job and some picture frames.
