last night the heat came on. i was just talking to ninglor about the coldness, and, like, getting out my woolen blanket for her (wool! ew! i'm allergic to wool), and then the heat came on. my blanket was all toasty. however, th heating vents are concentrated in the corner around my bed, so--. oh well. slept for easily nine hours. was very nice. daddy soothed me about the stupid professor last night. ::pets:: nice daddy. hollsk, i should be back between 12:30 and 2:00 or so (maybe until 2:30, depending on when my advisor wants to see me). (advisors have the most inconvenient timing!)

a few moments of excitement--brief flickers of blackout in the dining hall during lunch today, oddly appropriate as i was reading dhalgren at the time. then got two packages in the mail, a book from amazon and my cds from nemoricultrix. the janitor, who is very friendly, is around and we had a bit of a chat. he opened storage for me and i dragged down a mattress for ninglor. will make the bed before i go to get her if i have time, but i keep being horribly distracted.
