ohh a otp survey. for those interested only mildly, just the questions, gacked from [livejournal.com profile] leyenn but invented by [livejournal.com profile] sloaneywoney and publicized here:

Your OTP/OT3:
Why:
Canon (books) or Fanon (films):
Popularity Level in the Fandom at Large: [my edit: and what fandom would that be?]
Your Favorite OTP Fic (yours) and why:
Your Favorite OTP Fic (someone else's) and why:
OTP Quote/Movie Lines:
Favorite OTP Moment:
What Pisses You Off About Your OTP:
Line that Describes Your OTP: [my remark: umm, this may be a little too, well, twee.]
Song that Defines your OTP, and let's See Them Lyrics: [and likewise.]

and, my lovely darlings, i have three otps in three separate fandoms. let's go through them in order of importance, shall we?

kirk/spock )

fraser/kowalski )

chris kirkpatrick/justin timberlake )

also, some secondary otps. ie, they don't devour my world but i won't stomach them paired with other people:

(lotr) frodo/sam, merry/pippin, and legolas/gimli; (lotr rps) viggorli, dom/lijah; (star wars) qui/obi

::kisses:: back to my most precious kk just because i can and i adore her and she gave me kisses, and that was awfully sweet. also for the postcards and the fortijuice, and the shakira squeeing and the crush dissecting and for caring enough about me to get mad at me, and for saying things like "swishy" and for making lewd jokes with the word "pants," and for being slightly neurotic and very affectionate.

::MWAH::

christina aguilera recs: cim's picks of the new album. sorry, the links'll be broken now; i was taking too much server space.

[livejournal.com profile] guinevere33, you wanted to know. dunno where 'i will be' comes from. mislabled? try cruz instead.

anyway:
can't hold us down. hip-hop girlpower anthem. feat. lil' kim. sing it!
walk away. jazzy/bluesy, a fantastic showcase for her voice.
fighter. rock. electric guitar riffs. power ballad.
infatuation. smooth, smooth latin.
impossible. in the style of alicia keys. nearly exact. (keys wrote and co-produced.)
underappreciated. sort of like classic r&b. you know, aretha, etc. another great one for singalong, although admittedly it's not exactly brilliant with the lyrics.
i'm okay. the much-talked-of story of childhood domestic abuse. gives chills. slow and quiet and haunting. you can hear her cry.
i will be. classic soul. gorgeous. like a display case for her voice.

federico garcía-lorca (poem about spanish civil war)--this was recorded by the spanish folk singer paco ibañez, and he cut out some of the verses. i know the song, not the poem, so we're missing some verses here. sorry.

on the moonless night
of the bandits
the spurs sing
oh, little black horse!
where do you carry your dead horseman?

the living spurs
of the unmoving bandit
who has lost the reins
oh, cold little horse!
what a smell has the flower of the knife!

on the moonless night
the flank of the sierra morena
runs with blood
oh, little black horse
where do you carry your dead horseman?

on the moonless night,
a scream,
and the long horns of the bonfire
oh, cold little horse
what a smell has the flower of the knife.
