14 Dec 2002 06:32 amyeah, hi. festive gip. hahah.
and i keep forgetting for some reason how much sugar should go in oatmeal--or perhaps i should say 'underestimating.' this could be a lot less amusing if my miscalculation had been further off. ::eats oatmeal-based sugar slush::
edit 2: o.0 ... do i hear a mumble of pillow-talk across the hall? but boyyyyyyys, who's sleeping in carlo's room then, if everyone's in roger's? ::eyebrow waggle::
lalala.
edit 3: last night, carolyn: have you been studying for this exam?
me: well, mostly. ::hem:: i have a feeling i've missed the last section, though.
indeed. the entire concept of polyadic schemata, which just sounds so fascinating. they covered it in three class-periods? dude. ::yawn::
edit 4: ah, ibuprofen, how we love thee. let me count the ways. one way. two ways. three ways. ...mmmph.
edit 5: got several hair comments last night. 1. 'you have the most beautiful natural red hair.' ahahhh. snerksnerk. 2. 'i love your hair color. really, it's very pretty.' that one was better received. the first one made me laugh and miss the next balance in the line, so. oh! the modern dance shoes! were lovely, toes trod on only once, no calluses or blisters, better traction. perfect. aight then. moving on.
edit 6: !!!??? anonymous lj comment spam mail? oookay.
edit 7: studying in bed after <6 hours of sleep = very bad idea. heheh.

there's a case of mistaken identity at contra! multiple ericas! help! oh, help! ahem.
anyway, yeah. so i'm not going to post quiz results with misspellings in them, and also, thank you, i am not butch. i'm not even really a dyke, but if i were one, not butch. and what's up with 'all you wear is wifebeaters' when i indicated in the answers that i wear skirts? (which also isn't accurate, but 'preppy' wasn't a choice, so.)
and carolyn, that lovely lovely not-aunt (common law step first cousin once removed, actually), has offered to come by tomorrow morning to get my stuff instead of tonight--which can then include the phone, the bedding, the coffeemaker, and the alarm, so i won't have to replace any of that later. cooooooooool. and we're still going dancing. she's running late as usual. or possibly later. but eh. i'm happy.
happiness is a snuggly waxlet. even long-distance! i may be easily satisfied. look, kids, it's almost as much fun as easily-amused. and a lot warmer and fuzzier.

well, i'm not planning to be back here for a long long while, which makes this my last contra, and i'm feeling a little wistful. one of the fantastic *brilliant* awe-inspiring dancers asked me this time--this adorable, slight little gay boy with a narrow fox face and a pointy nose, spectacles, long blond hair and a beard and mustache. he always wears ridiculous outfits--tonight a mint green velour mock-turtle, short-sleeved and stomach bearing, green velvet trousers tucked into knee-high leather boots. last night it was a bicycling tshirt with the sleeves cut ofrf. anyway, i danced with him and i think i'm bigger than he is and weigh more than he does but he was brilliant fun, enough to make the man i danced with before him, who was rather excessively flirtatious, like a bore. then there were two really strange square dances, and the room was full of lost beginners which made it hysterically giggly and then i danced the greatest one yet--full of one spin leading into another--with, apparently, the perfect partner: a josh hartnett lookalike, i kid you not, but with fuller lips and freckles, which give him a sort of innocent air, and tousled short brown ringlets. anyway, about my height, but stronger, a fantastic dancer, a little younger than me and not annoyingly flirty--i think i hit the peak of my dancing with him, not missing a step for round after round, ad-libbing twirls and things when the other couple in our circle was lost, which happened rather a lot in this dance, a good quick one. oh, and i saw another adorable lesbian couple.
morning, somewhere around 9 - 11: moving boxes of shit.
1:40 pm: to airport. yay.
9:08 pm: arrive in birmingham. (that's central time.)
by 10:30: home and connected to the internet. central, again. which is about 11:30 ET. if people on the other side of the world happen to be asleep at 6 am their time, i would be perfectly understanding, and i will be sure to lurk around the computer for the entirety of monday hoping to catch them.
