not dead

last night just before bed i updated my recs page with ten lotr stories, mostly legolas/gimli.

so i've just woken up and am not dead, but the agenda for today involves painting the ceiling of the new bathroom, hanging a shower curtain and installing a lot of hardware in there. i'm not sure about the rest of the house, i.e., whether the library needs cleaned (::wince::--a week's work!) or whether we're going to use it as a giant closet to stuff odds and ends in.

i can't find any pants i want to wear, so what do i do? black tights, miniskirt, fuck-me boots, a dress blouse (french-cuffed, laced tight in the back) and a tie.

went to the library with my auxiliary real life best friend, sara munro, and had a chat in the car. talked about determinism quite passionately while parked in my driveway. agreed completely about who from high school is still worth speaking to. discussed feminism, women's schools, the meaning of life, friendship, my strange semester, finland, etc. the plan is to get together again in the next week.

this time a week from now, i'll be on a plane to brussels.

oh, and i got a new pair of pajama pants: bright yellow flannel, with rainbow colored glittery plasticy paint something or othery stars all over. well, rather, mom bought two and a half yards of the flannel this afternoon, and i made them already. have still to make some for cuddlepint. i made a promise.

i kind of suck at writing poetry, holls. i've been thinking about you a lot. (you realize of course that Wee Baby MUST have a gandalf and balrog baby blanket made by moi.) and the balrog is inquiring after you with increasing anxiety! i'm thinking about uploading the angels icon again. i have the shirt in my suitcase. ::sniffle:: i AM going to catch you online SOMETIME soon, i just am. the universe doesn't dislike me enough to keep us apart any longer.

well, in other news, i've run out of fics in the comprehensive legimli list at axe & bow. my own bunny is starting to kick at me irritably. i'd thought i was tired of the pros, but apparently while m fae and sebastian remain i shall return. i like the britishness. and in OTHER other news, the importance of being earnest is absolutely the most fabulous thing ever and i am in love with oscar wilde, and i want to see the movie and lick orli for being in it and read every single thing he ever has written.
