where's cim?
6 Dec 2003 10:04 pmi guess i talked vaguely about it but i didn't actually do a temporary dear-john post. i'm staying with my dad's youngest sister in lubbock, texas. i will be here until dec 15 (which includes my 21st birthday oddly enough--they offered to take me out, or buy me beer or wine, but i couldn't really think of any alcohol i REALLY wanted so i said no, and i think i'm going to have fresh fruit pie and store-bought sushi for the Big Day, and silently toast the universe for keeping my mother away).
my cousin perrin is the most adorable two-year-old evah. he looks like a cherub, he waddles around, he repeats things that you say all the time, he confuses 'i' and 'you' and all variants thereof, and he's... did i say really cute? um. he. is good. i've never met such a GOOD kid. without being, i should say, especially quiet or tractable, but he's very intelligent and reasonable and when you explain to him why you don't want him to do something he stops pretty much immediately, which i think is unusual for a two-year-old.
jenny invited me to stay here indefinitely if i want to--she said i can bring perry, and i don't have to pay rent if i help around the house, and you wouldn't believe it, but i actually do feel better not eating cooked food (which is what they do. although the rationale for not cooking food that they have is the most flimsy piece of bogus science i've ever encountered if you don't count the ones christians come up with in misguided attempts to defend their faith). she even said
wax_jism could visit here and she'd love to meet her. it's so... calm and cleansing here; even inside the house it feels like a long nature walk. i'm deeply enjoying getting to know jenny better. i'm so glad that i decided to visit.
