p/q rec(ish) for the ladies who greatly enriched my evening with squee

the large number of p/q dream scenarios in this story make it my second favorite--even though i've never even read two thirds of it, because around that time it dissolves into lines ( like this: )

it passes the limit of what i can withstand, as well as pretty much resolving the relationship tension, soon after that.  in fact, i don't think i even have any idea what happens in the third part.  perhaps i'll check it out some time.

the whole run of she-ra's being released on dvd in france but nowhere else--with no english audio track.

we both stayed up until 8 am and then slept until after three.  it's five thirty and wax is in her pajamas, and i'm eating breakfast.

agenda: soonish: take bus to town; purchase huge quantities of food + chocolate for 1st night of channukah feast.
later tonight: talk wax into watching some movie or other.

tomorrow: spend all fucking day baking challah and whatever dessert we decide on (blueberry pie?)

tuesday: wake up at six.  prepare entire chicken.  put in oven.  go to class at ten.  come home.  tidy like mad.  prepare latkes, vegetable dish.  (it has to stay in on low heat for seven to nine hours which is a bit inconvenient, since the mece & co are ETA 5 o'clock.) arrange eight tea-lights in a line on the table, pretend they are a menorah, light one of them, sing a little song, and eat dinner.

wax: i'm making a beeline [for the king arthur display].
cim: whimper! :fondles nearest dvd:
wax: but it's not the extended edition.
cim: YES.  there it is.
wax: ...i'm just going to hold it for a while.

cim: and you know what ELSE we need?  starsky and hutch. there! :grabs it and fondles it: we need it!  it's so GAY!
wax: i'm just going to hold all three of them.  :fondles three dvds: 
cim:  whimper.
wax: but you... which one of these do you want the MOST.
cim: i don't know!
wax: but, the MOST, which one do you want the most--
cim: but it's so gay--and it's so threesomey!
wax: yes!  but just pick one!  which one do you want more?
cim: but i can't, because they're equal--this one's cute and gay and warmfuzzy, and this one's bloody and threesomey and naked--it's one of these two.
wax: just pick one.
cim: but... okay... i guess... starsky and hutch.
wax: what? i wanted the other one.
cim: no, you can get whichever one you want.
