yeah, a birthday card from my grandpa and step-grandma was very sweet.  she talked about visiting my family at thanksgiving and my dog, perry.  daddy says he's been extra clingy lately.  i bet he knows i'm coming home.  (in five days.  why did i think the 18th?  it's the fifteenth.)

king arthur threesome #2

i was thinking to myself, last week, that i didn't really remember a film vibe of tristan/ with the obvious galahad/gawain in king arthur, but i'd only seen it once.  'i wonder?' i said to myself, as i sulked because i couldn't find more fic for the pairing combo. 

and then we watched it last night and, amid much squealing, i discovered to my astonishment that dea_liberty is totally right about their dynamic in this excessively soap-opera-y fic.  there's a definite competition between tristan and galahad for gawain's attention, irritation on galahad's side but with fondness on tristan's.  there's a friendly, relaxed couple of moments between tristan and gawain, more as equals, that i think can easily be construed as the surface of interest on tristan's side.  and of course there's a bit of hero-worship in the manner of galahad's attachment to gawain's hip. 

if only there were more well-executed meaty fic for them!  cause now i've got a CRAVING.

all through my exam i kept flashing back to bits of león and gary and grinning like i'd gotten laid instead of just watched a movie with my slasha buddies.

isn't it GREAT to have slasha buddies to watch movies with?

ps:  using the word 'buddies' makes me feel all manly!

recipe for contentment

you know what i realized?  that yesterday's birthday was the best birthday i've had in years. 

i bustled about all afternoon, humming to myself and feeling competent like my mom while fixing food, even though i didn't do such a great job.  wax was asleep in the bedroom and it was all cosy.  then my bitches slasha buddies came over, anglepoiselamp, shiroi_chi and mace_m.  we stuffed ourselves on lukewarm leftovers and maija's delicious cookies and an entire packet of vispgrädde*, watched king arthur (the extended version) without the sad ending but with much slash commentary and references to the m15m version.  then we watched e's copy of the professional/león, and e and k and i frightened maija with our 'gary gary gary!'-type comments, when she is a jean reno fangirl.  i drank a mug of warm wassail and read the pros slash until pleasantly sleepy, then collapsed into bed and buried my nose in wax_jism's shoulder.

from the corner of my eye the raisin box looks like a popcorn carton. i keep craving popcorn. we have nothing salty! bwah.

and geez, the layout of the big starsky & hutch archive hurts my eyes!

i wonder if there IS any starsky and hutch movie fic out there. i mean. it seems like there should be. my earlier search turned up nada.
