ordered more than fifty euros' worth of the manchurian candidate, some diana wynne jones books and the one jeeves & wooster novel i'm positive that i haven't read.  feeling a little unsteady. 

but in a few weeks at most i will have new books, and of course the movie we've been waiting for almost a year.

spock & uhura joking in "the man-trap" (1x06)

i like spock and uhura's dynamic. the scenes showing her teasing him and their camaraderie in this episode and "charlie x" (posted yesterday) demonstrate her intelligence, confidence, and sense of humour. she's my favourite secondary character (and part of scotty/uhura, my seekrit het OTP). 10 caps underneath.

on a lighter note, one of my favourite scenelets in the series occurs a bit earlier when drunken sulu bursts onto the bridge with his rapier.
