that was a really great holiday.

we were at wax's mother's flat in ekenäs, a lovely little majority-swedish-speaking town, for just about three days.  wax has two brothers; one has a fiance, one a wife and utterly charming toddler;  we saw a lot of the former pair, a bit less of the latter.  wax was sick the whole time and frequently napping or simply being anti-social, but i got to know all her family better and enjoyed it lots.  plus i got lots of practise speaking swedish, and learning about their different christmas traditions kind of made the christmas celebration exciting and new for me in a way it hasn't been in years.  i took 138 pictures, and i'll probably post some of them here soonish.  in the meanwhile i'm just feeling a little adrift and a little let down, although also glad to be home.
