unreasonably happy

i stayed up until 10 am this morning trying to finish this porny story even though by the time i started it, the challenge had already been closed at pillarchallenge (and i'm still in the middle of something else!). and on top of that, (a) i didn't actually finish it before lapsing into unconsciousness, though it's close; and (b) it didn't turn out as porny as it was supposed to, which is good for the story but a little irritating for me because i've been thinking about the severe lack of tezuryo porn and intending to write some for a while.

however, of the (unrelated) good: wax_jism's old monitor broke and today mece delivered her birthday present early: a 20" widescreen flatscreen lcd monitor. lucky she was turning 30 this year! and hellloooooooo, sweet sweet watching of dvds. i should be worried about the papers i have to turn in on the 15th (you know - those ones i haven't even started), but i can't manage to shake my feeling of contentment right now. plus, there's been some really good tenipuri fic posted the last couple of days, most notably fuji/inui and momokai.
