i'm hungry, dizzy, exhausted, cold at the extremities, and not finished with the homework that was due in the class i came home from an hour ago. and wax's favourite aunt is (probably) coming tomorrow, and the whole apartment is a mess.

on the plus side i also have the keys to my brother-inout-law's car and house - and no school tomorrow.

i have no justification to offer for the silliness of this metaphor.

an lj-based fandom is kind of like an after-school club. it's not just whether you like art, spanish, or french best - it's which clubs are the most fun.

you're not going to join the spanish club if the girl you hate is the president; you're not going to join the art club if you know there's only five girls in it and you only like one of them. and you might join the home ec club because they have really fun cooking parties even if you don't like the home ec teacher at all, whereas you might avoid the biology club like the plague even though it's your favourite class because all they do is sit around helping each other with their homework.
