Wax finally stole an adapter from work, so she should be able to plug in her crappy cheap laptop and make it work now. Where by 'make it work' we mean 'begin installing Linux such that it might work within a day or three'.

The bastards at Finnkino put up cardboard standees advertising Get Smart even though it's not out here until August, grrr.

International movie release dates are the most senseless, enraging, random, idiotic things ever. Those fucking studios, for the combined offense of their idiotic regionalities and release dates and their incredibly offensive anti-piracy commercials, deserve for the entire rest of the world to illegally download their shit from fan-dubbed US screeners. If I could fandub, I would make them and distribute them and it still wouldn't quench my rage. (Wax is all, "Chill, dude, chill!" NOOOOOO!)

Aww. Every time I see the Stiller/Wilson Starsky & Hutch, which is one of my favourite silly fluffy humour movies, I temporarily feel inspired to look for some Starsky & Hutch slash. ♥

Of course, while it's an old and (I think) large fandom, the problem is that the movie is still a parody and, though affectionate, apparently quite different. Very different, if the fic is anything to go by, but that could have to do with how fandom's changed over time as well. So while it's not like I can't find anything to read, it never really scratches the itch (at least not before I get tired of poking around) - like being stuck with slash about the actors when you wanted the characters. But maybe as delicious becomes more popular - (NETWORK, fandom, NETWORK! We have the technology! *\o/*) - there may be a new influx of recs, at least, which could provide another angle of approach. And I should totally be importing my old Sports Night recs to delicious instead of reading Starsky & Hutch, but I'm just not in a SN mood lately.
