Perry at Ängisbacka yesterday

for those who prefer human faces

Full day out yesterday, starting at 9 am! The morning was spent at Ängisbacka picking flowers, waiting for the internet to load and fixing lunch. Wax's spry little 80-something granny was fetched and then we all drove an hour or so and took a ferry to the rural island village of Nagu, where we drove down twisty little country roads and hopped in a motor boat for a five-minute voyage to Redamo and Brother Windows's new summer cottage. Attractions at Redamo include blueberries, birches, majestic wind-swept vistas of trees and rocks, a big-ass trampoline, huge windows and tons of sunshine, and babies. Carmela and I spent much of the afternoon drawing princesses and their accessories (cake, tea, field hockey stick, football shoes, horse, dog, cat, brother, umbrella) in my sketchbook. I got lots of gorgeous pictures.
