This has been an eventful day.
We were supposed to be in Rauma at 17:00 for an evening of crafting, so Wax asked to borrow her brother's car. We packed up a giant bag full of empty jam jars and another bag with a thermos of tea and my crocheting and our Google Maps directions for on the way; and then we hopped on the bus across town to pick up BIL's car.
We missed the first bus, grabbed some pastries and then went on the next bus. During the ride it started completely POURING rain and then Wax's brother called to tell us they were having a medical emergency of an Extremely Alarming nature with one of my nieces.
Everyone is out of town except us and so not only could we not use the car, we were needed to watch the other children while their parents were at the hospital. But first we had to walk several blocks to their house while the rain BUCKETED down, because he was alone at home with the other three sprogs. We arrived just as the rain stopped, pants soaked to the knees.
As I was throwing our wet stuff in the dryer, we discovered my folded sunglasses had pierced the pastry bag in Wax's hoodie pocket and deposited cheese danish filling all over the inside.
And we have none of our stuff with us but our phones. And now I don't even have any pants. And I'm wearingCrocs imitation Burberry D:! (Because I grabbed a fleece blanket from the sofa to tie around my waist in place of my pants. And it's Burberry print. IDEK at this point.)
