Snookums is diabetic and has to have high protein, zero grain, minimal carb all wet food (this is referred to as the Catkins diet). The BB, on the other hand, has kidney disease, and has to have special high-protein, low-fiber, all-wet food with some kind of phosphorus binder.

So these two separate varieties of special and expensive food don't go too far astray, we started sticking the BB into the bathroom because it was the closest door that could easily be closed, and she was mightily offended by this and stood at the door yelling at first for quite a while. However, now she's noticed that the bathroom has electric radiant floor heating, and she actually expects and even asks to get her food in there, without protesting that the door is closed behind her. She's developed a special "Let me outta here please" meow and she doesn't repeat it if answered promptly that somebody is coming.
