from
bibliotech, how to add style=mine to any page on livejournal. basically, you just add the following line of javascript in a bookmark to your links in opera or firefox/ff-derivatives (to paraphrase
bibliotech again, if you're using ie you're just going to have to get a better browser):
personally, i prefer replacing "style=mine" with "format=light", which does a stripped-down black-and-white version of the page using the default fonts and sizes you set in your browser. this is even more useful if your personal journal style isn't optimised for reading fic, for instance, which i do on lj a lot.
she also links to a greasemonkey script for this here. also, it all only works with s2.

boxofshadows is the ms.-scribe-and-hp-parodying rpg i mentioned to the slashas the other day. there's not too much of it to read yet, but it's very funny. i'm especially fond of the fake ms scribe and the keysmash girl.

javascript:a = "style=mine"; if(location.search) location.search = location.search + "&" + a; else location.search = "?" + a; void 0;

Date: 1 Jul 2006 01:24 pm (UTC)Yeah, the MsScribe parody is funny, as is the CC parody. Mostly though, we (Orphne and I) couldn't recognize who anybody else was supposed to be based on their writing style, so the joke was kind of lost on us because of our confusion. We wondered if keymash girl (the 1st one, nicolet4eva or what, er, eva) was supposed to be based on me (e.g. I once owned a pair of bunnies named after hp characters) but then decided if it was a parody of me, then it was terrible. How disappointing. :(
