Running water despair sets in
19 Oct 2020 09:59 amI ALMOST got everything that isn't food put away in the new kitchen last night, which will make it EXTREMELY irritating if the electrician doesn't come and put the stove over there today. He just said he should be here early this week, so it wouldn't be late of him or anything. And to be fair, we still don't have running water on our side anyway and we're still waiting with bated breath for some kind of plumber contact, so it's going to be a bit annoying regardless.
It's just that moving all that kitchen stuff is pretty time consuming and I wanted to get the bulk of it out of the way so I'm not doing it when I need to urgently be fixing up the other side before the tenant moves in.
But in retrospect, it was probably too optimistic. We could be carrying all the implements AND all the dishes back to the other side to prepare the food and then back again to eat it for a week or more at this rate. Or forever, theoretically! Since we haven't heard ANYTHING about the plumber! So right now it's actually... worse, although it was temporarily satisfying to get things arranged in our nice new kitchen where there's space for our tools and implements and dishes.
