Another thing that sucks is
22 Nov 2020 04:54 pmI was SO excited to get the random orbital sander, but it kinda hurts my right hand and wrist to use it. If it's on for more than extremely short periods of time and in that hand, I mean, but it's difficult to do with the left hand: same problem as, like, painting with the left hand. I can do chunks of it with it but I don't have the fine control and it gets tired faster, so I always end up switching back and the right hand always ends up cramping or aching.
I know I type and do other hand stuff (write, draw, knit, crochet, paint, never in moderation) way too much, and I have skinny bones with extremely comparatively large joints which spontaneously pop a great deal, and I know all those things predispose me to arthritis, carpal tunnel syndrome, and other joint problems, but I'm still under forty and I try to do hand and wrist exercises and not abuse them TOO much to keep that in the future as much as possible.
