I don't want to have to find something new to watch, I just want to watch Derry Girls, Ghosts, What We Do in the Shadows, and We are Ladyparts again for the first time.
Or possibly to be able to watch dvds without setting up the dvd player, moving to in front of the old tv that's only there for dvds, and putting a dvd in it. (Even when I could reliably get my pc to play dvds, switching the discs out was too much work, though.)
I've started rereading CJ Cherryh's Foreigner series from the beginning. The last time I did that was probably more than ten years ago - it was a much shorter series! It never really stopped being my favorite sf book series, I guess, or tied for my favorite with some others, but it's so long that rereading it all is a huge project and several of the books I only had in hardback. I'm not used to carrying 2-3 books with me everywhere anymore - yeah, I totally did that from, like, age 11 or so up until it got sufficiently easy to read unlimited fanfic on my phone. Ten years ago maybe? I can't remember exactly. Anyway, I finally realized that there was no reason not to just buy more copies and it would be worth it to read them as ebooks.
It's funny because in the first trilogy the protagonist is in his mid twenties, and when I first read these books I was much younger than that, and I remember clearly thinking about his age and experience and adulthood and trying to imagine what it would be like and how realistic I thought it was. Now I'm ten years older than the character, and the character's got obvious signs of immaturity that I definitely didn't notice when I was a teenager.
