The Foreigner series would be basically unfilmable, or perhaps I should say unadaptable, without a profound transformation resulting in an entirely new and very different text.
But some sequences are very cinematic! And some of the characters I'd really like to see.
Probably in like, anime, though, not that that's even slightly plausible, but the people I've seen saying "they could film X now that CGI is there" are... not always correct. Because the cutting edge of CGI can look indistinguishable from real (some stuff in the MCU I guess?)... or it can look like bits of a janky video game or a completely flat mat painting pasted into the frame (certain parts of the Wheel of Time for instance) ... or it can look pretty decent but the textures and light reflections never work right (Paddington, for example). And budget and time constraints are going to dictate which one you get.
They can definitely film Naomi Novik's books and Anne McCaffrey's books now - the CGI is there for a huge investment in a new flagship franchise with sky-high production values, sure. If they are prepared to be in production for years and years before they get any finished products, yeah. They could probably do Dinotopia, too. But could they actually do Foreigner, or any other series with a majority of the main cast being alien characters who need extensive CGI and LOTResque scale tricks to make them realistically appear 8 feet tall in comparison to the protagonist and other human characters? That sounds like a lot of work that could go so terribly wrong.
