prince of tennis movie trailer... "analysis"

i took a ton of caps of the trailer for the live-action tenipuri movie. they're tiny caps, though, so they should load fast.

warning: this trailer is FULL of spoilers for the hyotei arc, which is extremely important.

oops, just kidding. this is my tezuryo-flavoured squee over the trailer. it is pretty detailed, however. see, someone was saying there should be more tenipuri meta. which this could be. if you squint.  please ignore the giant spoiler space. i don't know how to make it go away.
 
                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                   

movie!ryoma is a bit on the sullen side as opposed to anime!ryoma's blank impassivity. or else they caught him at a particularly badass moment. inui is in his non-regular warmup outfit, so this is probably the fudomine or st rudolph/yamabuki matches.	twist serve is really awesome. also, ryoma can fly.
HE USED HIS LEFT HAND. *.*	uh, did i ever mention how live!nitoryuu is kind of hot? oh, i did? like twenty times? sorry.
ryoma blows kaidoh away. "daijyobu... senpai?" he smirks. not shown here: hilarious reaction shot of kaidoh.  also, a glorious golden rain from the sky of... hundreds of tennis balls? and hilarious hilarious special magical!tennis effects like the balls smoking and sparking.	i like to imagine that this is tezuka's first arrested look, the first time he sees ryoma play. not only is it a closeup, it's the Slow-Mo of Meaningful Eye Shots cam.
ryoma is a cocky little bitch, and justifiably so.	tezuka is watching him and he lowers his chin a little. it's kind of weird and kind of hot and a little badass. what is he thinking? perhaps it's something like "hell, yes, we're going to nationals this year." (at this point wax_jism, who knows nothing about tenipuri, says "...so is this really all about their forbidden love?" ÖLKJAÖSKLDJFA. YES. YES IT IS.)
tezuka gets ready to serve. not shown: the beginning of the match, with atobe strutting out onto the court and the crowd going wild.	and freezes into slow-mo, clutching his shoulder. his face contorting is more dramatic and moving in motion. sadly, the screencaps of it all look a bit unattractive.
ryoma shifts on the bench but holds himself forcibly still...	unlike everyone else, who leap over the wall to run to him. tezuka yells at them not to, though.
ryoma shifts again and stares intently. his restraint is impressive. it's also kind of impressive that it's almost palpable in the intensity of his look.	this is probably tezuka playing the rest of the match out.
asöldkfjöaskldj.	oishi's uncle wants to talk about tezuka's elbow or something, but tezuka is like, "this year we're going to nationals, thanks to my new obsession! *.*"
this isn't in the anime or the manga. because they've added it we don't actually know whose jersey it is, but...	the sequence of ryoma slowly picking it up and looking at it makes me all wibbly anyway.
then tezuka is gazing wistfully out the window. not shown: ryoma is running in the sunset beside the highway, panting, and then lying in the grass in a hideously fugly hawaiian shirt gazing up at the sky with the exact same wistful expression. *.* don't worry, tezuka, he's obsessed with you too.	i forget the name of those shots where the camera zooms around in a circle, but basically the translation is "this movie  is going to be fucking awesome."
ryoma plays the tiebreak match after tezuka's while his team looks on. from left to right we have momoshiro, identifiable by his wristband, sitting with kaidoh; then fuji and kawamura snuggling cosily together on the bench1; then oishi and eiji, who aren't snuggling only because they're so married that they can be fluffy without even needing to snuggle; and inui, who is pouting because kaidoh is sitting beside momo and not him. not shown: ryoma hits a boomerang snake. i don't know if they took the clip out of context and it wasn't from this match after all, but it sure looks like it is. and it's definitely ryoma hitting it. i paused the trailer while the ball was in mid-arc, and you can see it on the outside of the net post and ryoma's little white cap between the ball and post. 1. aölskdjföaskldj why are they ALWAYS cuddling? i mean, right here taka is recently returned from the hospital and fuji has recently finished battling for his honour, but what about in that promo shot?	yeah. he's kicking ass.
and then we go to the flashback of heavily suggestive symbolism--tezuka looking down at him öaqslkdjföalskdföö and it's kind of tenderly, telling him "become seigaku's pillar."	and ryoma's bent over in front of him, just staring up transfixed and panting.
a lot.	then he's staring at the sun.
and flying some more.	"i want to become stronger. more and more."
