it's not all right to be little-bitty

i wonder if i have some kind of deep-seated problem.  as i was writing the rough draft of my latest, i was conscious of using the word "little" a lot, and of revising in my head as i went, but i didn't really realise how much it got through until i looked at the first comments from isilya.  and then i did a search today.

and removed forty-three instances of the word "little" in the first 36 pages. 

yeah. um. i'll... be over here.

(but what kind of deep-seated problem would it even be?)

yes, perhaps. i've been told that people think of me whenever they see the word "little"--although in sga i'm more about his little nose and his little face.

i don't think it's a deep-seated problem. i always have to revise to remove all sorts of extraneous words: sort of, little, pretty (as in, "it was pretty tasty" etc etc), almost. um, yeah. ^^;

mmm, but it's not like i have a waffley-qualifier-word problem--none of those other showed up much at all (until i replaced little with them, at least). and also, it's never showed up before. a manifestation of anxiety, or something to do with my take on the pov character, perhaps.
