+ i e-mailed my parents two days ago that i wished i was more up-to-date with what was going on with them, which i thought was a gentle hint for more e-mails.  still no answer.

yeah. i can't believe they don't miss me too! but i know the real reason they don't e-mail more is that they're busy. blah.

Yeah, that's why I try and call each week--much easier to keep in touch. Although now that they're separated, it's ... hard.

the cost is incredible from here to america and we're so long-winded that we ended up downloading skype. unfortunately, skype sometimes has really long lags, like i think more than an entire minute.
