the spanish tutor (i mean, the one from spain) introduced us to a spanish gypsy guitar duo named navajita plateá. i've been trying to obtain some, because they were really good, but *cough* no luck, not even on youtube (much better luck with the puerto rican... hip hoppy salsa stuff that the peruvian girl played). and that whole socialising thing, that went okay, more or less. i probably won't relax for several more hours, though. i should turn on the sauna. and eat food. i didn't really eat anything today except two bowls of ramen.
eta: several amusing things happened today, though:
1. i was writing porn longhand before the lecture started in sociologisk metodik (i'm starting to get over looking over my shoulder when i do this - go me). i stopped in mid-sentence when professor saruman showed up and later when i typed it up, i didn't even notice that. the sentence still ends with "along the inner seam of his jeans - ".
2. professor saruman got distracted, not by a study to go on about, but by the term "snowballing". he wasn't sure we would understand the metaphor - so he stopped, erased half the white board, and then said "take for example if you have an animated film". and proceeded to draw an elaborate cartoon donald duck running down a hill taking up all that space he cleared (donald was over a foot tall), complete with clothes and bouncing hat. he coloured donald in with three different colours of whiteboard marker. then he drew a growing snowball on the hill behind him. only then did he explain to us that snowballing means the way a snowball gets bigger and bigger. ...his tangents into drawing frequently have me going "...", and yet... they're so cute and vastly entertaining.
